MATH6435: Learning & Teaching Algebra II


About


This course is for teachers to learn the content of PMI Algebra II and how to teach that course to students. It provides graphing & analysis techniques to develop a conceptual understanding of algebraic functions. Strategies for finding the critical points of functions, analyzing the transformations of functions, and how functions apply to real-world situations are discussed. Topics include an overview of functions; linear & absolute value functions; quadratic equations & complex numbers; quadratic functions; polynomial functions; rational functions; radical functions & rational exponents; and probability & statistics.
