PSI-PMI Back to School Tips

Have students sit in groups (preferably groups of 4) on the first day of class.

• If using SMART Notebook, input student names in the Random Group Generator, set it up for groups of 4, and then insert the Random Group Generator into your “My Content Folder” for future use.

Begin teaching on the first day. Get students excited about learning science and math and accustomed to PSI-PMI teaching methods.

• Provide students with their Responder ID’s.


• Encourage them to work together and emphasize the importance of collaboration.


• Use embedded student response questions for frequent formative assessment and effective data-driven instruction.
