Dr. Robert Goodman, the Executive Director of the New Jersey Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), recently received the prestigious Dean’s Award for Innovation from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
At the Institute’s annual awards ceremony, Bob presented the story of the development of the Progressive Science Initiative® (PSI®) and the Progressive Mathematics Initiative® (PMI®), as well as sharing the strides CTL has been making toward providing quality STEM education to previously underserved students from the United States and around the world. A highly appreciative audience of NJIT faculty, students and administrators actively engaged with the presentation, asking questions and praising CTL’s work.
Kevin Belfield, NJIT’s Dean of the Colleges of Science and Liberal Arts lauded Bob’s passion for innovation, equity, and access to high-quality education and suggested that CTL and NJIT look toward building a collaborative relationship in the years ahead.
