K-8 Math Curriculum Update

We have been adding labs to our units. Many of these labs are links to the Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT). The RAFT Idea Sheets are easy-to-use, hands-on experience guides, linked to the Common Core. They are based on classroom materials and readily-available, low-cost materials such as cardboard tubes, bottle caps, old CD's, etc. In addition over 650 Idea Sheets are available at no cost on www.raft.net. An icon like the one above, designates where one of these is posted on our website. We have also updated the unit plans to include these labs.

Additional labs are currently being posted for units that do not have any. These are planned on being posted by January 30, 2014.

Materials Lists have also been added for each course. This lists any materials needed with in the presentation as well as what is needed for labs.
