“A New Educational Paradigm and its Impact on Math and Science Achievement”
Synopsis: All states and countries are attempting to raise achievement in mathematics and science in order to improve social justice and international competitiveness. Pushing harder on the current educational model is dramatically increasing stress on students, teachers and the overall system. A new paradigm is needed if the sought after gains are to be achieved. Just such an approach, which began in a single classroom in 1999 and has since then spread far beyond that, will be discussed along with its very promising results and its potential for future impact.
