2020 Year in Review
What a year! While much of the world took a pause, educators were hard at work. Here’s a quick look at some of the work NJCTL did to support students and teachers facing the challenges of Covid-19.

For Students
- Added an online AP CS Principles course to complement our existing AP CS A course
- Created self-study online courses to assist with remote learning
- Provided NCAA-approved high school courses
- Provided AP courses as an AP Online Course Provider
For Teachers
- Coached teachers to transition from using PSI-PMI Teaching Materials in the classroom to also using them remotely
- Added a new “Remote Instruction” module to our Teaching Methods course
- Developed teacher-facilitated courses which helped 86 teachers, from a diverse range of schools, remotely teach more than 4000 middle and high school students
Graduate Education
- Became licensed as a NJ Institution of Higher Education and began the Middle States accreditation process
- Helped 33 teachers earn a new endorsement in math, physics, or chemistry with our DOE-approved programs
- Launched CS and MS Science courses for teachers, as well as a MS Science Endorsement Program
- Partnered with Adams State University to offer teachers credit transcription to move on the salary guide, satisfy state CE requirements, or earn a new subject-area endorsement
- Became approved as an ACT 48 Provider, enabling PA teachers to receive CE credits.
